“Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat.” ― Laura Ingalls Wilder
Nothing much changed around here, it’s as beautiful, as untouched, as Zell am See as ever. We’re 8 days away from Autumn now and the vibrantly coloured wildflowers from Summer has been replaced by several fallen leaves and, look, look, peeking out of the soil… there are petite, fragrant daisies which have somehow survived. I wistfully stare upwards, sigh, the sky was a deep blue and clouds were bouncing across the heavens like dancing sheep.
Snippets: Dad, influenced by Mum, ordered ‘Tai Chee’ at the Indian restaurant (he meant chai tea); Mum fell asleep sucking a lollipop; this is growing and growing and growing; we were audience to a beautiful water show; we enjoyed warm tea (except me — I had homemade Chia Fresca because my tummy isn’t doing well) and each other’s company — laughter, hugs and audible sips. “It’s cold,” my sister whispers as she walks into the room and shuts the balcony door behind her.
Mum and Dad just walked over here to wish and kiss us good night, it’s time to snooze. Gute Nacht, schlaf gut.
